LOCAL PROMOTION OF THE ICC 2009

The Ministry of National Property is the entity in charge of developing and enhancing the policy related to territorial information management in the country.

Within the Ministry, the National System of Territorial Information (SNIT) is responsible for carrying out these policies. Every year, a delegation of SNIT professionals travels the regions of the country to meet with the institutions in charge of the State management which elaborate territorial information.

This year, the Executive Secretary of SNIT, Mr. Cristian Aqueveque, invited the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the ICC 2009 to take part in this activity. In this opportunity, the delegation met with the Regional Governor (Intendente), office members and professionals of the technical organizations of the State, highlighting the importance and scope of the ICC 2009.

Having accepted the invitation, the General Secretary of the Local Organizing Commitee (LOC) of the ICC 2009, Col. Alvaro Hermosilla Jarpa, travelled to the Second Region of Antofagasta to participate in the regional workshop of the SNIT held on August 11th and 12th.

So far, the LOC ICC 2009 has travelled to the XI, I, XV, XIV and X Regions to promote the conference.
