Conference Venue

The venue for the 24th International Cartographic Conference is the “Escuela Militar del Libertador Bernardo O`Higgins” (Liberator Bernado O’Higgins Military School), located in the borough of Las Condes, in the eastern sector of the urban zone of Santiago, close to the “Escuela Militar”. The site belongs to the Army of Chile and is one of the main military training centers for educating army officers.




The Army is considered one of the main patrons of the conference due to this contribution of an excellent venue for housing the event. The main building of the complex was built in the 1940’s; its frontal facade is shown here. The overall plan of the venue is shown on the facing page; a more detailed plan will be published in the final program.
