International Cartographic Exhibition

This is a presentation of maps and cartography from around the world. Everyone is invited to see this prestigious exhibition. This is divided into the following sectors:

• Nations: Classified and grouped according to the countries of origin, there will be a set of panels for each country that is a member of the ICA that presents maps and cartography.
• Panels - Chilean sector: Chile, as host country, will present a sample of cartography produced by Chilean institutions.
• Panels - other categories: Cartography from ICC 2009 sponsors, from ICA affiliate members and from international scientific organization will be exhibited.
• Cartography on alternative media: Sector set up for exhibiting atlases, globes of the earth and digital cartography shown through computerised media. 

An international jury of the ICA will judge and award recognition to the best pieces in a series of categories, in conformance with the competitions traditionally held at the ICC. The document “Guide for Participation in the Cartographic Exhibition”, available for download from the home page, includes a brief summary of the rules of the ICA and full instructions about the procedures for the participants in these exhibitions.
